Operation: Coming Home has been awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution - Excellence in Community Service Award. This award was established by the Daughters of the American Revolution so that local DAR Chapters can recognize community organizations, like Operation: Coming Home, with distinguished and ongoing service to our community. Chapter members have seen the tremendous impact that Operation: Coming Home has had in the military community. The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, DC is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, historic preservation and securing America's future through education of children.
