 The Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 HBA Family Scholarship. All HBA Family Scholarship winners will receive $1000 from the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County’s Charitable Foundation to be used toward their education for the 2022-2021 school year. Family Scholarship recipients must be the child or grandchild of a current HBA member, a graduating high school senior, in need of financial aid, planning to attend a public college or university in North Carolina full time beginning in the fall semester of 2022, and have shown leadership capabilities in their school and/or community. In addition to the Family Scholarship Winners, the Charitable Foundation also gives out $10,000 in scholarships per year to Wake Tech students who are studying in homebuilding-related fields.

Abigail Elizabeth Morse, daughter of Valerie and Dan Morse (Triple A Homes), lives in Holly Springs, NC.
Abigail has a 4.107 GPA at Apex Friendship High School and plans to attend Cape Fear Community College in the Fall of 2022.  Abigail is active at her church, serves as the Vice President of the Beach Volleyball Club at her school, and has won the Triangle Award and the Defensive Player of the Year award for her volleyball skills.  She is undecided on her major, but plans to continue in athletics during her higher education.

Benjamin Lewis Compton, son of Jeff Compton (SCS, Inc.), lives in Garner, NC.
Benjamin has a 3.889 GPA at Cleveland High School and has been accepted to East Carolina University for the Fall of 2022.  Benjamin plans to major in Business and hopes to one day own his own business.  He has worked part-time with his father fireproofing and firestopping commercial buildings, is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Student Council, and is active in both his school’s Christian Club and his church’s leadership team.
