Paul started as the Executive Vice President/CEO of HBA Raleigh-Wake County in 2015. Prior to that he was the CEO for the HBA of Greater Tulsa for 9 years, and prior to that he practiced law for 14 years. When not at the HBA, Paul loves spending time with his wife and three children. His favorite hobby is woodworking. In fact, he built the very cribs his children slept in as infants.
Rachel started at the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County in January of 2016. She came from the world of weddings, having worked as both a Wedding/Event Planner for five years, and manging Accounts Receivable at a large, local event rental company. When she's not scrambling to sell sponsorships, asking members to volunteer, or signing contracts with vendors, she enjoys walking her dog Minnie, knitting, cross-stitching, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, reading and writing romance novels.
Hired in 2006, Suzanne is responsible for monitoring local legislative, governmental and regultory activities which impact the housing industry for the 13 local governments within Wake County and coordinating HBA-RWC's actions and responses. In her role, she fights overly restrictive legislation and resolutions which are detrimental to the housing industry and works proactively with government entities to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Prior to working for the HBA-RWC, Suzanne worked for the Wake County Government in their Environmental Services Department. SHe received her B.S. from Cornell University and a dual Masters in Public Administration and City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Two items on Suzanne's "life to do" list are training a dog in Search and Rescue and learning American Sign Language.
Allison was hired 2022 to oversee that the staff stays within budget. She has loved working in accounting and over the years found working with numbers her passion.
Outside of accounting, Allison enjoys working out, cooking (this is why she works out!), reading, enjoying the little things in life, and most of all spending time with her 3 kids.
Born and raised in Greenville, SC Crystal has worked in mental health and banking. Prior to moving to the Raleigh area in 2019 Crystal was the Chief Operations Officer for the HBA of Greenville. While there she established an industry awards gala, the Bridge Awards (named after a local landmark) and the Upstate Parade of Homes.
When not working, Crystal enjoys gardening, baking, volunteering at her children’s schools, and spending time with her husband, Jonathan, her two children Alex and Alivia and her puppy, Winston.
Jaclyn joined the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County in February 2013 after planning weddings and catering events for 10 years. Her involvement as a volunteer in a local association drove her to a career in association management and she is passionate about helping others grow personally and professionally. She is a proud Journalism School graduate from the University of North Carolina at CHapel Hill and currently lives in Wake Forest with her husband, Dan, two daughters, and one crazy Plott Hound (the North Carolina State DOg!) She plays and coaches soccer and loves to sew and read books of all kinds.
Angela started working at HBA of Raleigh-Wake County on Valentine's Day in 2005. Angela has always worked in accounting: Belcher Utilities, Bob Barker Company, and the HBA. If you call and she's not there, she is possibly on a cruise somewhere, just leave a message.
Jill joined the HBA staff in 2021, but she was no stranger to the HBA. She was an active member of the HBA since 2000. Having chaired the Triangle Sales and Marketing Council, the MAME Committee, and the Special Events Committee, she is excited to be able to be able to do this full time and work alongside the members.
With a background in Residential Real Estate, particularly in sales and marketing, she loves planning the annual MAME (Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence Awards), scheduling monthly Sales and Marketing breakfasts and getting the members involved in various community service projects. If she isn’t running with a run group, she is somewhere listening to Bon Jovi.
